Tomonoura Museum of History and Folklore

The museum exhibits the models of traditional sea bream fishing and a blacksmith’s workshop for anchor making. Among the various relics are a koto (Japanese zither) used by the musician Michiio Miyagi, who was strongly associated with Tomonoura.

Transportation : Take Tomotetsu bus from JR Fukuyama station to the “Tomonoura” bus stop. Approximately 5 minutes on foot from the bus stop. Approximately 30 minutes by car from JR Fukuyama station.
Period : 9:00 - 17:00 (Visitors may enter until 16:30.)
Regular Holiday : Mondays (if Monday is a national holiday, closed the following Tuesday)
Fare : 150 yen for adults (120 yen for a group of 20 persons or more), free for high school students
Parking : Available, 25 cars (100 yen per a 30-minute)
