Fukuzenji Temple / The Taichoro reception hall
Taichoro, located next to the main hall of Kaiganzan Senju-in Fukuzenji Temple, is the guesthouse during the Genroku era (around 1690) and is a designated national historical landmark. The view of the sea from the reception room is magnificent, and in fact it was praised by I-pan-on, an ambassador from Korea, as “the greatest view in Asia” in 1711. Hon-kyon-he left the calligraphy characters of “Taichoro” in 1748.
